A giant Red Sonja — flame-haired, clad in her chainmail bikini and stacked bangles — towers over a retro-futuristic Martian cityscape crawling with big-brained green invaders, flying saucers, and colorful fin-tailed vehicles, making for one wildly imaginative mashup of sword-and-sorcery and sci-fi kitsch. Arthur Suydam renders the whole scene in a bold, sunny yellow palette that captures the pulpy B-movie spirit at the heart of this crossover perfectly. The fifth and final issue of this 2020 Dynamite series promises a confrontation as outsized as its cover suggests.
