Marine War Heroes #16

The main story "Ratigan's Return" follows Marine forces attempting to locate and stop the enemy soldier Ratigan, who has been reported back in action in a Viet Cong area. After receiving intelligence from Corporal Jeff Rainey via ARVN transceiver about Viet Cong troop concentrations, Captain Rogers leads a unit to intercept them, encountering Ratigan and his men in combat. The Marines engage the enemy in battle, with Rogers motivating his exhausted men by appealing to their humanity rather than their hardened combat instincts. The story concludes with the Marines planning to leave the wounded behind and mount an attack on a Japanese destroyer.
