While Mr. and Mrs. Beamish are on holiday in France for six weeks, two maids use their house and use invitations intended for the owners to attend high society affairs. Then Milly receives a telegram telling her that Mrs. Beamish is sunburnt and they will be returning early - the day Milly and Audrey had planned to use the house for a big party.
