Marauders #15

Part 14 of the sprawling "X of Swords" crossover arrives in Marauders #15, and Russell Dauterman's cover sets a striking tone: a glamorous, white-gowned woman with teal-streaked blonde hair raises a wine glass triumphantly against a star-filled sky, while figures around her — including a dazed, wide-eyed man in the foreground and collapsed or distressed characters flanking her on either side — look decidedly worse for wear. There's a delicious contrast between her composed, celebratory posture and the chaos surrounding her feet, suggesting a gathering that has gone spectacularly sideways. Writers Gerry Duggan and Benjamin Percy, with interior art by Stefano Caselli and colors by Edgar Delgado, keep this massive 22-part saga moving in what looks to be one of its more intriguingly social — and dangerous — chapters.
