Scott Koblish wears many hats here — and apparently many fates — as this cheerful, self-deprecating collection showcases his singular vision from every angle. The cover itself is a delight: a caricature of Koblish strolls along clutching a bouquet of colorful balloons, blissfully unaware that surrounding vignettes depict him meeting his end via a flaming meteorite, a careening skier, an angry dog, and assorted other comic calamities. Drawn, inked, and colored entirely by Koblish himself, this 2018 Chronicle Books release promises a wonderfully absurd, deeply personal romp through one artist's gleeful imagination.
