Sas Milledge's Mamo continues its enchanting run with this fourth issue from BOOM! Box, and the cover alone makes a striking case for the series. Two young women stand back-to-back at the center of a swirling vortex of dark ravens, one dark-haired and wide-eyed with a pendant around her neck, the other blonde and wary beneath a wide-brimmed hat — together yet bracing against something unseen. It's a beautifully atmospheric image, all moody teal shadows and warm skin tones, that captures the folkloric tension Milledge brings to every page of this series.
