Mambo #3

A group of men arrive to cut down some trees to make room for apartments to be constructed. Stephanie is upset because, after so many years, she had come to think of one of the trees as her friend. She tells the most vigorous of the lumberjacks that she hopes he suffers one day, so he will understand. She regrets her words as soon as she says them, but she feels even worse when he falls from a tree and is sent to the hospital. When he is released, he has lost the will to continue as a lumberjack, even though it is the only thing he has ever excelled at.
