From Bertrand Fichou and Yves Calarnou comes this delightfully chaotic prehistoric romp — subtitled Petits artistes et grosses bêtises ("Little artists and big mischief"), it promises exactly that. The cover sets the tone perfectly: two scrappy young cavekids hold torches and what looks like a dripping paintbrush, admiring (or perhaps confessing to) a wild scrawl of cave art on the wall, while a large, exasperated adult caveman and a startled striped cat look on amid flickering flames. Published by BD Kids in 2023, this third volume of Malice et Brouillon looks like a warm, funny treat for young readers with a taste for Stone Age silliness.
