Major Bummer #8
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover tagline "Adventures in Baby-Sitting" takes on a decidedly alarming dimension here, as our wide-eyed, clearly overwhelmed hero Lou Martin dangles over a baby crib in a toy-strewn room — while a massive, clawed purple creature lurks ominously in the foreground below him. Doug Mahnke's cover pencils (inked by John Dell) capture Major Bummer's signature blend of superhero comedy and genuine menace with real flair, making issue #8 look like exactly the kind of chaotic, funny, and slightly terrifying read this 1998 DC series does so well. If you've been following Arcudi and Mahnke's irreverent take on reluctant heroism, this one's hard to pass up.
