Major Bummer #6
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe laid-back absurdity of Major Bummer is on full display in issue #6, as a massively muscled slacker lounges against a brick wall looking thoroughly unimpressed while a gigantic red demon creature lunges forward behind him — and a wide-eyed kid clutching an ice cream cone seems far more alarmed about the whole situation than our hero does. Doug Mahnke's cover pencils (inked by John Dell) nail the series' signature comedic tone: all that monstrous chaos unfolding in the background while the guy with the superpowers can barely muster the energy to care. With the story titled "Idle Worship," this 1998 DC issue promises the kind of reluctant-hero humor that makes Major Bummer such a refreshing change of pace.
