Major Bummer #11
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDC's comedic superhero series leans hard into James Bond parody territory with this June 1998 installment, subtitled "License to Nil!" — and the cover by Doug Mahnke delivers the joke with straight-faced absurdity. A massively built, tuxedo-clad figure strikes a classic secret-agent pose, pistol raised, flanked by two glamorous women — one in a red dress with long gloves, the other bald and glowing with blue energy in a purple outfit and fishnet stockings. It's a pitch-perfect send-up of spy-film swagger, filtered through the wonderfully off-kilter sensibility that made Major Bummer one of DC's most entertaining late-'90s comedic offerings.
