Magic 7 #2

From Dupuis comes this 2016 installment in the Magic 7 series — subtitled Contre Tous ("Against All"), which sets the tone perfectly. The cover, by Toussaint, Quattrocchi, and La Barbera, puts two young protagonists front and center against a dramatic red sky: a small girl with striking blue eyes in a white dress and a taller, scrappier companion wielding a key-like weapon, both facing down an enormous, looming steampunk machine behind them. It's a vivid image of determined kids standing their ground against overwhelming odds — exactly the kind of all-ages adventure energy that makes this series so appealing.
