When Spencer returns the Idol of Pacal to its Mayan temple, he acquires the power to control other people's minds. However, this power does not work on Vampirella. Spencer uses his mind control power to cause Patience to fight Vampirella until Vampirella takes the Spear of Destiny from Patience and kills Spencer with it.
