Ménil'décor #[nn]
A warmly observed slice of Parisian life, Ménil'décor brings together writer Romain Multier and artist Gilles Tévessin for this Actes Sud BD release, with a bonus short story by Nicolas Flesch tucked inside. The cover sets the tone beautifully: a cheerful older man strolls through what looks like the Place de la République or a similar Ménilmontant-area square, arms open wide, glasses gleaming, entirely at ease amid the bustle of passersby, a characteristic Art Nouveau Métro entrance rising behind him. It's the kind of 2015 bande dessinée that wears its affection for a specific Parisian neighborhood right on its sleeve.
