The five Lumberjanes form a precarious human chain as they tumble — or perhaps rappel — through a swirling dust-filled void, each girl gripping the next in a tangle of outstretched arms and flying limbs that perfectly captures the series' spirit of chaotic, wholehearted teamwork. Kat Leyh's cover art renders the scene with terrific kinetic energy, the warm sandy tones giving the whole image a sense of breathless freefall. With "Zoo It Yourself" as the story title, this 2018 BOOM! Box issue promises the kind of wonderfully absurd adventure that makes Lumberjanes such a treat.
