Lumberjanes #18

Lumberjanes takes a dive in issue #18, with Carolyn Nowak's cover plunging us into an underwater world where a red-haired scout in goggles and swim fins reaches out to shake hands with a vibrant purple-skinned mermaid — a smaller mermaid child hovering between them and a second, yellow-tailed mermaid looking on nearby. A wary raccoon-like creature lurks in the teal, seaweed-filled background, hinting that this underwater encounter might not be entirely smooth sailing. With writers Shannon Watters and Kat Leyh and colors by Maarta Laiho giving the scene its warm, striking palette, "Dressin' for Succesin'" looks like another warmhearted adventure from one of BOOM! Box's most charming series.
