Lucky Luke #[18]
Morris and Goscinny's beloved wandering cowboy rides again in this Polish edition of "Karawana." The cover, drawn and inked by Morris himself, puts Lucky Luke astride his trusty white horse Jolly Jumper while a large, agitated parrot clutches a whip in its beak, much to the bewilderment of a mustachioed wagon driver seated on a red cart — with a string of stubborn-looking mules in the foreground and a wagon train stretching into the dusty background. It's a wonderfully chaotic snapshot of frontier life, and this 2008 Egmont Polska release brings Goscinny's sharp wit to Polish readers with lettering by Marzanna Giersz.
