Lucky Coyne #1 is an anthology comic featuring multiple adventure stories. "Dan Hastings: The Return of Dr. Strange" follows Dan Hastings as he battles the mad scientist Dr. Strange, who has transformed himself into a winged beast and threatens the Academy of Science; Hastings ultimately defeats the creature. "Music Soothes the Savage Beast" depicts Sergeant Quinn and Scoop Daily, war correspondents, using music to pacify hostile Arab tribes and maintain British control during a diplomatic crisis in the desert.
