Greg Tocchini's cover for this French-language Urban Comics edition of Low is a stunning portrait: a young woman's face dominates the foreground, her wide eye reflecting something unseen, while an extraordinary collage of warriors, armored figures, tentacles, and flying machines erupts from the crown of her head like a world contained within a single mind. Rick Remender and Tocchini's deep-sea science-fiction saga gets a fittingly surreal visual treatment here, with warm amber and crimson tones giving the whole image an almost dreamlike intensity. La Lumière des Profondeurs is a beautiful entry point into one of the more visually ambitious series Urban Comics brought to French readers in 2022.
