Greg Tocchini's painterly cover for this 2014 Image series is a striking tableau — an armored warrior in a crimson cape stands triumphant atop a heap of figures, spear in hand, while several women cling and struggle around him near what appears to be an ornate fountain. The fluid, watercolor-influenced artwork gives the whole scene a mythic, sun-drenched intensity that feels both ancient and otherworldly. Rick Remender and Tocchini's Low hits its second issue with a visual confidence that makes it hard to look away.
