Stefano Raffaele's cover for this 2014 Humanoids release sets the tone perfectly: a gaunt, hollow-eyed figure looms on the left while a woman in a pink dress — her skin fractured and fragmenting like broken porcelain — turns away in the foreground, shards drifting between them against a stark desert mesa backdrop. The subtitle When All You've Got Is Death says everything about the melancholy at the heart of this story.
