Steve and Carol fall in love, even though their fathers—who own adjacent ranches—don’t get along. After Steve’s father dies, he has to sell the ranch, and Steve goes to work on Carol’s ranch (now a dude ranch) as foreman. Carol is jealous when Steve’s old friend Lynn arrives as a guest, and Steve takes a job with Lynn’s father’s firm in New York. Lynn and Steve become engaged. Carol accepts a marriage proposal from Charles, but calls it off when Steve returns and they reconcile.
