Newlyweds Carol and Dick have different attitudes about money: he is thrifty, she is not. He gives her $200 to buy furniture but stipulates she has to pay in full. Carol spends some of the cash on clothes and has to purchase the furniture on the installment plan, keeping this a secret from Dick. She goes further into debt and can’t make the payments. When the store sends Dick a collection letter, Carol burns it. She eventually confesses and Dick says he knew about the debt but was waiting for her to tell him. They reconcile.
