I wanted to be an actress at any cost and the price was my happiness! Myra auditions for a summer theatre group and is chosen by director Paul. Myra falls in love with actor Dick, but when she is given a leading role and Dick warns her she isn’t ready, they quarrel. Paul romances Myra and says the theatre will close due to lack of funds, so she gets the money from her father. She later overhears Paul saying Myra has no talent and he’s just using her. Myra gives her role to her friend Janet and forces Paul to turn over his part to Dick. The play is a success and Dick and Myra reconcile.
