Tess is hired as the secretary/companion for movie star Norma, in a wheelchair after an auto accident. Norma fears her fiancé Fred will pity her, but Tess reunites them. The doctor says Norma may recover fully if she suffers no emotional set-backs. Tess and Fred fall in love but don’t want to hurt Norma. When Tess decides to leave, Norma rises from her wheelchair and stops her. She wishes Tess and Fred happiness and will resume her acting career.
