Barry's older sister is interested in the new boy behind the counter at the greengrocer's, but an offhand joke about receiving the wrong change is the last straw for him and Tom quits his job. She tries to help, but Tom wants nothing to do with her. Later, she discovers that Tom is teaching Barry and some of his friends hill climbing. After being pushed around all his life, it seems that youngsters are the only people that Tom gets along with.
