Beth is given the opportunity to be an air hostess by a top executive of the airline. He wants to marry her but she asks for more time. With three sick staff members, Beth is switched to an Australian flight piloted by a man who has a reputation as a jinx, with three mishaps on previous flights. He thinks Beth has been planted on the flight by the executive to report on him. During the flight, an explosion in a passenger's case blows a hole in the fuselage and only the actions of Beth and the pilot prevent a disaster.
