Jim is always joking, but when he asks Laura to marry him she accepts. The office old maid offers Laura her wedding dress since she feels she will never be a bride. Not wanting to hurt the woman's feelings, Laura agrees even though she hates the dress. A week later the office gives a party for Jim and Laura, but Jim shows up wearing the wedding dress as a joke. Seeing this, Laura is fed up with Jim and calls off the wedding.
