“The Lure of Love”

In "The Lure of Love," a poignant tale from Love Story Picture Library #810 (1970), Liz recalls her childhood bond with Eddie, the quiet protector who promised to return and take her to the idyllic place shown in the painting above her fireplace. Years later, as Purview Mansions is torn down, she rushes back to find the painting—only to be stunned by the sight of Eddie, now part of the demolition crew. Carlos Freixas handles both art and inks for the story, while Núñez delivers the evocative cover.
