When Pete jilts her, she uses the money she had been saving towards getting married to spend a month in Italy. While visiting Juliet's tomb in Verona, she meets Count Ruggio. He shows her a deserted mountain villa where he says he grew up and talks of restoring it. She falls for Ruggio, but learns he is a garage hand who needs money to make his dreams a reality. When she returns to England, she discovers her only living relative has died, leaving her with a wealthy estate.
