When Bill spots Susie on a visit to the zoo, he tells her she has been chosen as Dean's Hotel Holiday Queen. Susie doesn't fall for the line, but when Bill confesses that he is trying to save his failing hotel, she is intrigued in spite of herself. She agrees to go Lingsea for a week despite her plans to get engaged at Christmas with George. Susie helps turns business around for the hotel, but complications develop when sparks appear romantically between Bill and Susie.
