Annie works at the company that published the works of famous author John Raven, who had recently been reported killed in an avalanche in Switzerland. The company is publishing one of his books posthumously, called 'The Pretenders'. But the writer had not died in Switzerland, but instead had lost his memory. When he recovers his memory, he is furious because he had not written 'The Pretenders'. Annie tries to calm the situation because she had actually written the book and submitted it under his name after the reports of his death.
