Shortly after her father died, Janita looks forward to meeting the Englishman who is arriving to take up a partnership in her South American fruit farm. Garth, who was jilted two days before being married, doesn't realize Senor Foster is dead and just wants to escape women. He arrives to find La Hacienda populated only by women. Garth and the spirited Janita clash immediately and Garth plans to leave. But when neighboring Ramon starts pressuring Janita to marry him, Garth discovers how cruel he can be and decides to save Janita from marrying him before leaving.
