The daughter of a sailor, Liz vows to never marry a sailor herself. But she meets Ben when a photographer asks her to pose with him because the photographer thinks every photo of a sailor should have a girl in the picture. Ben's stories remind her of her father and when he asks her to marry him, she tells him she doesn't want to see him again. But later she learns that his stories were lies and he is just a sailor on the local ferry. She is happy to think she can marry a sailor and have him home every day of the year.
