Julie and Frank are wed in an arranged marriage as a bid to stop an inter-gang war between rival mobster families. But when they arrive at their honeymoon location in Florida, Julie pulls a gun on Frank and tells him to get out. She catches a bus to Baton Rouge, but when the bus stops halfway to allow the passengers a chance to eat, Julie sees the 'Waitress Wanted' sign and decides it is the perfect place to try to start her new life.
