Julie moves to London and is invited by her bed-sitter neighbor to a party. When Midge dances off with her guy, Julie feels alone until she meets Paul. She spends half an hour dancing with him until his glamorous starlet girlfriend returns from a meeting with a producer. When Midge moves out to marry Jim, Julie feels lonely until Paul moves into Midge's old room. They share a lot of time together and Julie falls for Paul. But when Diane gets back in town, Julie feels she has once again been nothing more than a stop-gap for Paul when Diane isn't around.
