She wakes up to discover her local movie-house is being torn down to make way for a new tax office. She thinks about the dates she had there with Alan, but Alan has a new girlfriend and no such sentimental attachments to the movie-house. The construction worker who told her what was happening has a nice smile and is friendly to her, but then she discovers he already has a girlfriend too.
