Sue works in the bridal department, but seems to spend more time reassuring the brides-to-be than dressing them. Three days before her own wedding, Sue is devastated to learn that Tom doesn't want to marry her. Still in shock on returning to work, she discovers that Meg is on the ledge threatening to jump. Feeling responsible for brushing Meg off prior to her date with Tom, she goes out on the ledge and talks her back in. A TV producer sees this and, after investigating her reputation, offers her a job as a lonely hearts advice personality on a TV program.
