Joe seems to spend so much time with Trev that it interferes with Nic's relationship with him. But one evening when both Trev and Nic happen to be at the Green Pixie at the same time, Joe calls Nic to tell her that he is with Trev and won't be able to make their date. Nic finally realizes that Joe has been using Trev as he has been using her.
