Love Story Picture Library #1129
"Live for Today" in Love Story Picture Library #1129 (1974) delivers a poignant, dreamlike romance where Jenny’s longing for the elusive Bobby Clifford takes a surprising turn. After confessing her devotion to her friends, she meets another fan whose quiet admiration leads to a moment of tension—until she discovers a heart carved in a tree, freshly cut, and the man she thought was lost is suddenly standing before her. The story, illustrated with tender precision by Romero and rendered in expressive detail on the cover by Pujolar, blends memory and magic in a moment that lingers long after the final page.

Jenny dreams about singing star Bobby Clifford and tells her friends there would never be anyone else for her. She decides to go out one night and meets a fellow Bobby Clifford fan. As he walks her home, he is about to kiss her when she sees something on a tree that causes her to break away from him. She returns later to confirm that the heart she had carved in the tree when she first fell for Bobby had been freshly cut. Then she sees Bobby there, coming back to her as he promised he would two years ago.
