Joan organizes a party from the secretarial school where she was studying to attend a circus when it came to town. Boko, the clown, was smitten with her from the beginning and she began to see more of him. When the matron of the secretarial college discovers Joan is seeing Boko, she calls Joan's parents. In front of Joan's parents, Boko proposes to Joan but she can't bring herself to say yes. When she realizes she has made a mistake, she tries to find Boko but the circus has already left town.
