Rose is part of a folk-singing group with Dave and her brother. When their car breaks down, Frank shows up to give them a ride and soon Rose falls in love with him. But as Rose's group becomes more popular, she has less time to spend with Frank. When the group has their big opening at The Palace, Rose doesn't have her heart in it and their performance is a flop.
