Anna's father wants her to stop seeing Mike because their families are involved in a fight over a business merger. Seeing her unhappiness, they send her to live with an aunt in Switzerland for a year. While there, she learns that Mike has married. When she returns to England, Mike sees her and laments what he has lost. He kisses Anna and asks her if she still loves him.
