Evelyn and Harry fall in love but he’s sent to fight in Korea before they can wed. He’s wounded and comes home, but rumours spread that he’s now an alcoholic. Evelyn ignores them and marries Harry. He dies ten months later of the effects of his wounds, which sometimes made him appear to be drunk. Evelyn cherishes the time they had together and visits his grave every Sunday.
