An anthology of three illustrated love stories exploring the consequences of romantic choices. "I Married for Money" follows a woman who married a naval officer for his wealth, only to be tormented by guilt as she realizes she has wronged the man she truly loved and must confess the truth to him. "I Was a Love Thief" depicts a woman who pursued men dishonestly, eventually recognizing her destructive behavior. The final story, featuring characters Carol and Jerry, shows a couple navigating jealousy and reconciliation at a carnival and seaside, with the narrative addressing loneliness and the effort required to maintain love. A woman named Peg also appears in a subplot involving romantic entanglement with a doctor named John and complications regarding money and career ambitions.
