Kay won’t marry Jerry until after the spring sailing regatta that she intends to win. When Kay’s brother Les withdraws from the race because his fiancee opposes it, Kay decides to break up the couple. Jerry calls off his marriage to Kay as a result. To please his father, Les agrees to sail with Kay even though he hates the sea. Jerry and Betty pair up to enter the race. Kay tricks Betty into sailing in a storm, then she and Jerry have to rescue her, with assistance from Les, who conquers his fear. Les reconciles with Betty and Jerry and Kay get back together.
