Romance comics didn't get more dramatically charged than this 1963 Charlton gem. Dick Giordano's cover art frames a tense triangle: a woman in a striking orange dress is confronted by a man whose back is turned to us, while a second man watches anxiously from the background near a lit doorway. The cover copy — "My wedding day was drawing near and I had to find out if Joey was a 'Man or Mouse'" — sets up a story of romantic courage and uncertainty that writer Joe Gill was well-suited to deliver.
