In the story "null," Namor, unaware he’s been manipulated by the Puppet Master, is pursued by the Army after a bank robbery. Wounded and fleeing, he seeks refuge in the Hudson River, where he encounters Lady Dorma, who has come to the surface to warn him—Atlantis is in danger, as the Behemoth has awakened. But the creature’s true threat is only beginning, as Krang now controls it from afar. With the Puppet Master’s influence broken, Namor prepares to return home, but the battle is far from over.

In "null," the Hulk faces off against the villain Zaxon, who attempts to drain his immense strength for his own dark purposes—only to meet a fatal end in the process. Freed from Zaxon’s scheme, the Hulk takes on a squadron of fighter jets, tearing up train tracks to hurl at them, until a surprising twist sends him crashing into a locomotive just as Hercules rides in—leading to a clash that ends in a tense, evenly matched standstill.
