Los Vengadores #40
In "De pronto… el Submarinero," Namor’s fury erupts when he destroys a testing submarine near Atlantis, leading him to confront the military—and the Avengers—who’ve arrived on the scene. As tensions rise, Hércules reveals his quest for the legendary Cubo, sparking a dramatic duel between him and the Submarinero, who uses his oceanic powers to summon sea monsters. With the Avispa suspecting that Namor’s strange necklace might be the Cubo in disguise, the battle plunges into the deep—leaving the fate of the artifact uncertain. Written by Roy Thomas, Rémy Bastien, and L. C. Arch, with art by Don Heck and inks by George Bell, this 1981 issue features cover art by Don Heck.
