Los Vengadores #13
"Aquí está Atuma" marks a pivotal moment in the series' early run, delivering a tense, character-driven story that deepens the mystery around Bruce Banner’s transformation and the military’s uneasy alliance with the Hulk. Written by Stan Lee and illustrated with sharp precision by Steve Ditko, with inks by George Bell, the issue unfolds on the isolated island of Astra as Banner is released under presidential order to oversee the dangerous absorbatrón experiment—only for a sudden threat to emerge in the form of a wave of humanoid duplicates. The cover, a dynamic piece by Jack Kirby with inks by Dick Ayers, captures the moment of confrontation with striking energy, setting the stage for a battle that tests both science and survival.
